Een koud huwelijk?

Het is natuurlijk best lastig. Wie is er verantwoordelijk voor het zoekgedrag van studenten; de bibliotheekmedewerker of de docent? Via Amy Bowllan op K-F Libra/Tech Blog: "Teaching in the 21st Century" kwam ik uit bij een post z.t. op de weblog KF Head's Notes.

So through the inspiration and courage of our new "librarians" who now are librarians and technologists, we are making enormous strides towards opening up the library world to new ideas and new features.

Voor de nieuwe rol van de bibliotheekmedewerker heeft KF een nieuw woord: Libratech.

Libratech's challenge is to blend the virtues of an "old way of doing things" with a sparkling and often confounding "new way of doing things." You have your "purists" who speak eloquently of the library and the use of books and criticize in many respects the "new ways" for acquiring information and understanding.

Leuk zo'n nieuw woord. Nu nog een leuke vertaling vinden :)
